Welcome to Affirmotl. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our daily affirmations app. By using Affirmotl, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Information We Collect

Affirmotl is designed to be a private, personal experience. We collect minimal information:

Streak Data: Your daily streak progress is stored locally and may sync via iCloud.
App Settings: Your preferences including theme selection, notification settings, and selected categories are stored locally.
Purchase History: When you make in-app purchases, Apple processes the transaction and we receive anonymized receipt data to verify your subscription status. We do not collect or store your payment information.
Analytics: We use anonymized analytics to understand app performance, crashes, and feature usage. This data cannot be traced back to you personally.

What We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect your name, email address, or contact information
We do not access your camera, photos, or microphone
We do not track your location
We do not read your contacts or calendar
We do not collect any personally identifiable information

How We Use Your Information

The limited data we collect is used solely to:

Provide and improve the Affirmotl service
Verify your premium subscription status
Send you push notifications (only if you enable them)
Display relevant affirmation content
Analyze app performance and fix bugs
Understand which features are most popular to guide development

Data Storage & Security

Local Storage: Most of your personal data (mood logs, favorites, custom mixes, settings) is stored locally on your device.
iCloud Sync: If you enable iCloud, your data syncs across your Apple devices using Apple's secure iCloud infrastructure. We do not have access to data stored in your iCloud.
Anonymous Analytics: Anonymous usage statistics are sent to our analytics service to help us improve the app.
Security: We use industry-standard security measures to protect data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

Push Notifications

If you enable notifications, we will send you daily reminders to view your affirmations. You can customize notification times in the app settings or disable them entirely in iOS Settings. Notifications are scheduled locally on your device - we do not send personal data to our servers for notifications.

Third-Party Services

Affirmotl may use the following third-party services:

Apple App Store: For processing in-app purchases and subscriptions
Analytics Services: For anonymous app usage analytics and crash reporting

These services have their own privacy policies. We only share anonymized, non-personal data with third parties.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access Your Data: Most of your data is stored locally on your device, which you can access at any time
Delete Your Data: You can delete the app to remove all locally stored data, or use iCloud settings to remove synced data
Opt-Out of Analytics: You can disable analytics in iOS Settings > Privacy > Analytics & Improvements
Control Notifications: Manage or disable notifications in the app or iOS Settings

Children's Privacy

Affirmotl is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us to have it removed.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date and, if appropriate, providing notice within the app. Your continued use of Affirmotl after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.

Data Retention

Since most data is stored locally on your device, you control how long it's retained. Anonymous analytics data is retained for up to 2 years to help us identify long-term trends and improvements.

International Users

Affirmotl is available worldwide. If you use the app from outside your country of residence, your data may be transferred to and processed in different countries. We comply with applicable data protection laws including GDPR for European users and CCPA for California residents.
